This set features single-convex Go stones made from recon stones. Stones with a flat underside are typically used throughout China, as opposed to double-convex stones preferred in Japan and Korea. Flat stones are also used by many pro players and teachers of the game as they allow variations to be played and the last move to be easily marked. Single-convex Go stones are therefore a useful aid for learning and teaching the game of Go.
The set also include beautiful wooden bowls with lids. The bowls are varnished with the wood grain prominently on show.
