The wooden board is a good size for play, with a maple veneer surface and a full size grid. The board also features feet to raise it from the table which not only enhances the overall aesthetic of the set but also makes moving the board much more practical - especially during play.
Also included are two nice wooden bowls with lids, used to both store the Go stones and also hold captured pieces during play. The stones in this set are plastic but a decent quality and fine for most people's purposes.
Go is a fantastic and deeply complex strategy game for two players. This is a fantastic set that includes everything needed to play at an affordable price. It is suitable for both beginners and more experienced players.
