New Northamptonshire Skittles Table near Wellingborough
A newly made Northamptonshire Skittles Table. These tables are becoming increasingly rare since the two main manufacturers ceased trading soon after the year 2000. There is just one craftsman left who makes them occasionally, currently just one or two per year. The top is based on the Pepper design and it stands on a sturdy frame with four legs. Price: £1799 Current location is near Wellingborough. The seller suggests/advises to visit and view table before purchase, if possible. This is a private sale between the buyer and the seller - Masters Traditional Games simply take a commission once the table is sold. The base is made from pine and the top has a rubber backstop with real leather cushions and a linoleum playing surface. The cheese catcher is a metal frame with a modern netting material. The table can be broken down by unscrewing the legs off the frame and unbolting and removing the net. It is heavy but can be carried by 2 people. The price includes a set of used Boxwood pins and cheeses in reasonable condition. New plastic, boxwood or other hardwood pins and cheeses are usually available from Masters Traditional Games. Plese note that the pictures show the table with plastic pins - this is NOT what you will receive. Delivery near Wellingborough would be free - to remoter parts of Northamptonshire would cost £50. For UK destinations outside Northamptonshire, the buyer would need to collect using a van themselves or Masters Traditional Games can advise how to arrange for a man in a van service to collect.
