Made in BritainTable skittles or bar skittles is a classic and one of the most popular indoor pub games. Just like full-alley skittles, each player has three attempts to knock down the skittle pins. The ball is swung around a pole toppling the skittle pins upon its return (it shouldn't go around twice so don't forget to catch it on the way back!). If you knock them all down after 1 swing (a floorer) or 2 swings (a stack), they are reset so the theoretical maximum score in one turn is 27 but like all pub games, that level of play takes some practice and to begin with you'll do well to score 9.
A game of great skill for pubs and pub leagues or straight-forward, brilliant fun at home for all ages.
This is a full-size league standard bar skittles game consisting of a beech frame surrounding, a baize-covered base and nine ash skittle pins that have been hand-turned in England. The ball is solid beech and is suspended from an ash pole.
You can keep score in any way you like - pen and paper is fine. However, for leagues, we stock a specially designed league skittles blackboard. Alternatively, many people like to use a cribbage board as a scoreboard - we have an extensive range of cribbage boards to choose from.
This game is suitable for pubs, clubs, fairs, events and competitions as well as for casual use at home.
