Softball

Softball is very similar to Baseball but played on smaller field and with a larger ball - despite the name, the ball used is not particularly soft. The rules are similar to those of Baseball and Rounders and the game is becoming increasingly popular in schools and sports clubs.

We have a selection of Softball sets and equipment that are suitable for both garden fun and more serious play. Schools and clubs should definitely opt for the Club set as it is designed to withstand more intensive use.

Supplied with two Ash wood Softball Bats, one 71cm and one 81cm, this Softball set is suitable for a good range of ages. Also included are 6 rubber bases; used to mark out the 3 bases, the home plate, the pitchers plate and finally mark where the next batters should queue up.

The Softball set is supplied in a in a nylon storage bag for ease of transportation and storage.

This is a quality starter pack aimed primarily at new Fastpitch Softball teams - complete with everything you need to play the game - but much of the equipment can be used for Baseball also. It's also a great set for schools and sports club. The pack includes quality and specially selected pieces of equipment that are ideal for beginners and comes complete with it's own wheeled equipment bag.

The gloves included are part of Louisville Slugger's Genesis range - a great combination of a leather palm for protection and a mesh back for a lighter glove and easier close system. The pack also includes 1 durable aluminium bat, 6 balls and 1 set of throw down bases. For Fastpitch / Baseball purposes, the pack also includes a full set of catcher's gear: helmet, chest protector and shin guards, as well as a set of batting helmets.
